 The Age of Industrialisation

1. In 1900, a popular music publisher named E.T. Paull made a music book with a cover picture showing the 'Dawn of the Century.'

2. In the picture, there is an angel of progress holding a flag, flying into the future.

7. People often think that industrialisation, railways, and buildings mean a society is developing.

8. But we need to ask, is industrialisation always about technology? Is it always good for people's lives?

9. To answer these questions, we must look at the history of industrialisation, starting with Britain and then India.
